Meet our New Head of Service – Carole Pickburn

We are delighted to welcome Carole Pickburn as the new Head of Service at HEY Smile Foundation. Carole brings a wealth of experience spanning social work, commissioning, service delivery, quality assurance, and evaluation, making her a fantastic addition to our team.

With a strong background in social work and children’s services, Carole has held key roles such as Senior Commissioning and Development Lead at East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Her career has also taken her overseas, having lived and worked in New Zealand, enriching her perspective on community empowerment and social justice.

Carole is passionate about providing strategic leadership in service and resource management, stakeholder engagement, and long-term planning. She is deeply committed to developing activities that engage communities and promote positive outcomes, especially within the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
