Meet Dan Rothery – VCS Inclusion Health Worker
Dan Rothery brings a strong background in education and community support to his role at HEY Smile Foundation. Before joining Smile, Dan spent nearly seven years at Wilberforce College, initially working as a Support Assistant for students with additional needs, then as a Progression Tutor. In this role, he delivered PHSE sessions and supported students with planning their next steps beyond college. Dan also actively contributed to staff and student initiatives focused on mental health, LGBTQ+ education, and charity fundraising.
First joining HEY Smile Foundation as a Connecting Communities Coordinator, Dan has worked closely with groups across the East Riding region. He is now the VCS Inclusion Health Worker, focusing on addressing health inequalities faced by inclusion health groups throughout the county. In this role, Dan collaborates with community groups and individuals to listen to lived experiences, helping to improve services and increase access to healthcare for those who need it most.
