Volunteer Drivers Wanted in Bridlington
Bridlington is facing growing challenges with people missing hospital appointments due to transport issues. The East Riding VCSE Collaborative, working closely with East Riding of Yorkshire Council colleagues Katherine Matthew and Colin Walker, and Jane Evison from East Yorkshire Community Transport, has spent several months developing a community-led solution.
Inspired by the success of Beverley Community Lift, Jane has helped adapt this idea to create the Bridlington Community Lift. With external funding now secured, the project is ready to begin.
We warmly invite individuals from the Bridlington area to consider offering their time as volunteer drivers. You will use your own car to provide door-to-door lifts for medical appointments, providing huge support to people in your community.
Join a friendly and supportive team, and rest assured that your expenses will be reimbursed.
If you feel you might like to get involved or simply want to learn more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Together, we can enhance healthcare access and improve wellbeing throughout Bridlington. Please email jane.evison@eyct.co.uk.
