SUMMARY:18 SHADES OF GREEN GOLF EVENT
DESCRIPTION:We’re super excited to be hosting a corporate ladies’ golf event at Burstwick Country Golf Club to celebrate Women’s Golf Day. \nThe twilight event is for both beginners\, experienced players and everything in between! \nThe evening will begin at 6pm with a fizz reception. Novices will then head to the driving range with professional James Bisby\, who will be demonstrating golf basics (e.g. how to hit the ball!) \nExperienced players will play a 9-hole round competition in pairs and intermediate players can choose whether to head to the driving range\, or the course. \nAfter play (or swinging into air) is over\, everyone will head back to the clubhouse for prosecco\, food and entertainment from best-selling local author\, Samantha Towle. \nIf you’ve never held a golf club before\, please don’t be scared to sign up – it’s all about networking\, having fun and raising money to help us support local charities and community groups across Hull and East Yorkshire. \nEntry fee is £30pp. \nFor more details\, please click here.

SUMMARY:NO ONE PUTS DATA IN THE CORNER!
DESCRIPTION:*FREE EVENT* \nEdward Snowden\, Julian Assange and Hilary Clinton all have one thing in common – no they’re not our guest speakers – BUT they are infamously connected with alleged breaches of data protection. \nAnd so\, although data protection is not one of the most exciting subjects\, as charities it is essential that we have robust policies and procedures in place to ensure that the personal information we hold about our beneficiaries\, supporters and partners is kept secure. \nThis event will help you to understand the requirements of the soon to be law General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how you can prepare as a charity to comply with that law. \nOur guest speaker for the event is Paul Barks. Paul is the head of the NCC Group Privacy Team\, which specialises in assisting organisations in Data Protection matters including the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) along with overseas regulations. \nThere will also be a chance for Q&A with Paul and a panel of experts in all things GDPR and charity. \nClick here for tickets!
