Smile365 Plus members recently gathered for a delightful evening at the Mercure Hotel, Hull (Willerby), in their brand-new Secret Garden for a member’s ‘Summer BBQ’ featuring a drinks reception, informative presentation, and a mouth watering BBQ. The event provided a perfect opportunity for Smile to say thank you to members; for members to reconnect and learn more about Smile’s impactful work as a charity supporting communities across Hull & East Yorkshire.
The presentation highlighted how Smile365 Plus membership enables businesses to play a part in making a significant difference locally, supporting and strengthening the Voluntary Sector, ensuring charitable groups and organisations are there when people need them.
Tessa Wray, Head of Partnerships said, “Charities and charitable groups play a huge part in tackling many societal issues and challenges which affect people within the workplace, whether they work within the private, public or voluntary sector.”
“We all like to think support is there, when we want or need it, whether that’s support for people living with dementia, individuals that are lonely and isolated, grass roots sport clubs, inclusive sports, families in crisis, people struggling with their mental health, people with a cancer diagnosis, people with disabilities, vulnerable children, people living with chronic conditions, the list is endless.”

Smile365 members play an invaluable part in Smile’s work and contribute by:
- Helping charities to save money before they raise money
- Increasing service delivery across Hull & East Yorkshire
- Being reactive and swiftly responding to identified needs
- Proactively developing creative solutions to challenges
- Maximising the efficiency and longevity of funds
This event reinforced the vital role Smile365 Plus plays in empowering HEY Smile Foundation to support charitable organisations effectively. The funds and support raised by members allow Smile to operate as a dynamic force for positive change, making resources work harder, last longer, and reach further.
A huge part of Smile’s ethos is to add value and give back to businesses that support them. Smile365 Plus enables businesses to give to charity, as well as engaging their employees in events, appeals and volunteering.
Attendees enjoyed the delicious BBQ and mingled with fellow members and Smile team. The Smile365 Plus Members BBQ not only celebrated the organisation’s achievements but also strengthened the bonds between those committed to making a difference in their community.
