Delivering the new MKM Foundation

The HEY Smile Foundation is proud to be partnering with MKM Building Supplies to support the delivery of the newly launched MKM Foundation, which marks 30 years of community support.

Smile will act as an independent partner, providing governance and administration for the Foundation and ensuring donations are managed transparently and reach the communities and causes they are intended to support.

The MKM Foundation represents a significant commitment to strengthening community support across the UK, bringing together national partnerships and local giving to maximise impact. In its first year, the Foundation will support Macmillan Cancer Support, Pancreatic Cancer UK and Yorkshire Air Ambulance, alongside a wide range of grassroots community initiatives.

Alongside its UK-wide charity partnerships, the MKM Foundation will also provide funding to support smaller local causes, ensuring branches can continue to back the initiatives that matter most in their own communities. Over time, the Foundation will introduce new projects and opportunities for colleagues, customers, suppliers and communities to get involved in.

Over the past 30 years, MKM branches have contributed more than £5 million through fundraising, donations and sponsorships, supporting local causes and grassroots initiatives across the UK. Across the UK, MKM teams also back hundreds of community sports clubs spanning more than 50 different sports, while playing an active role in the communities where their colleagues and customers live and work.
