Smile Vaults: Powering Community Events Across Hull and East Riding
The recent survey conducted by HEY Smile Foundation has revealed the tremendous impact of the Smile Vaults service in Hull and East Riding. This innovative initiative has been a game-changer for local charities and community groups, enabling them to organise events and engage with residents more effectively than ever before.
Survey Insights
The survey, which gathered responses from 79 individuals representing 77 different charities or groups, offers a comprehensive look at the reach and effectiveness of the Smile Vaults service. This sample represents 22% of the 351 Vault Service Organisations and an impressive 45% of the 170 active organisations in the last 12 months.
We are very grateful to Smailes Goldie for their generous support of this survey. Their contribution of a hamper as an incentive significantly boosted response rates, allowing us to gather this valuable data.
Community Impact
One of the most striking findings is the estimated number of attendees at events where Smile Vaults equipment was used. An astounding 366,300 people are estimated to have attended such events. To put this into perspective, the 2021 census reported 609,000 residents in Hull and East Riding, meaning that Smile Vaults-supported events have potentially reached over half of the local population.
