NOVA ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP WITH LEADING HUMBER CHARITY
Nova Studios is delighted to announce a donation of £20,000.00 worth of video production promoting the work of one of the Humber’s leading charities.
As part of our 2024 charity of the year initiative The HEY Smile Foundation will receive six pro bono films courtesy of Nova’s team.
Empowering charities, people, and communities is the heartbeat of the HEY Smile Foundation. They provide infrastructure support to charities and charitable organisations to help them to grow, develop and thrive. This includes support for organisations in crisis, trying to meet the increasing demand and pressures on their services, especially in the current climate. They turn need into action, listen to local communities, identify common problems, and find shared solutions. They work with partners across all sectors, joining the dots to unlock resources back into the community.
“Boosting opportunity in local communities”
Alan Jones, Director at Nova Studios said: “We’ve always been impressed by Smile’s long-term and often innovative approach to improving lives and boosting opportunity in local communities.
“Their work brings together the best of the area’s business and charity sector to maximise the potential of this region and its communities and we’re delighted to be able to play a part in that.
“We hope that the films we’re donating are able to showcase some of the brilliant programmes and initiatives Smile provide in 2024 and we’d love it if our contributions encourage other Hull businesses to support their work.”
“A powerful tool to showcase the work we do”
Tessa Wray, Head of Partnerships at HEY Smile Foundation said “We are delighted to have been chosen as Nova’s Charity Partner for the next year. In-kind support of this nature is invaluable. Charities would love to produce more film content but are not always able to due to funding.
“These films will be such a powerful tool to showcase the work we do, bringing our wide range of support to life. Support from businesses, whether it’s financial, or in-kind like Nova, makes a huge difference to what we can deliver and achieve, as a charity, supporting communities across Hull & East Yorkshire.”
Barn’s Manchester Marathon
On top of Nova’s donation in kind, our producer Barney Stephenson has been brave (*cough* foolish *cough*) enough to sign up for the Manchester Marathon and will run the race raising money for The HEY Smile Foundation.
Although he’s been a semi regular runner over the last decade and has a few half marathons under his belt, this will be his first go at completing the 26mile challenge.
Having signed up back in January, Barn has been sticking to an intense 12 week training programme he hopes will see him over the finish line on April 14th.
