The HEY Smile Foundation’s Trustee Academy is a series of 10 sessions designed to create quality charity Trustees

Quality Trustees are vital to the success of a charity and the Smile Foundation recognised the need for more outstanding Trustees to support charities across our local area.

Sponsorship from Smailes Goldie Group in Hull has made it possible to develop a 10 session programme for trainee Trustees. Modules vary from charity models and governance to financial planning. The focus is very much on making being a Trustee a pleasure, not a chore and equipping individuals with the skills they need to be successful.

Andrew Barber, CEO at the Smile Foundation, explained:

“We’re really proud of the Smile Trustee Academy and look forward to seeing our trainee Trustees develop over the coming months.

“There are lots of people across our local area who would make excellent Trustees and we hope this encourages more people to step forward.”
