Over £2,000 was raised at the Smailes Goldie Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2016 held at the Tickton Grange Hotel. 

16 teams took part in the annual Smailes Goldie quiz on Thursday, March 2nd, as brains were flexed in a serious of challenging rounds. Hosted by Smile’s Andy Barber, quiz topics included music, sport, world news and facts about Hull from 2016.

Emmerson Kitney/Smailes Goldie Financial Recruitment walked away with 1st place, taking the crown from last year’s winners, Brown & Co. They were closely followed by Towne Lifting and Testing in 2nd, and Natwest in 3rd.

Sarah Shepherdson from Smile organised the event and was delighted with the evening:

“The atmosphere was incredibly tense at times, but it was clear that everyone had a great night at Tickton Grange, and to raise over £2000 really was a fantastic effort by all.

“The winning team was thrilled to win the first table at Smile’s 2017 Red & Black Ball in November this year.”

Ian Stocks, Commercial Manager for Smailes Goldie Group was equally enthused:
