The Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Smile Foundation coordinates some of the most popular events in the local golfing calendar.

Swing When You’re Winning includes two qualifier rounds, with the first at Burstwick Golf Club in Ellifoot Lane, Burstwick, on April 28, and the second at Elsham Golf Club in Barton Road, Elsham, North Lincolnshire, on April 29.

The final will then see the top nine teams from each heat compete at Hessle Golf Club in Westfield Road, Cottingham, on May 20.

The event is jointly organised by the HEY Smile Foundation and Santander, and supported by Dalby Offshore and the Lewis Ashley Group.

Charity manager Andy Barber said: “Swing When You’re Winning is always a brilliant event, with £11,000 raised last year.

“That’s all down to our main event partner, associate sponsors and all of the teams, who have given us great feedback and support since the event began.

“We’ll have some fantastic prizes up for grabs throughout the competition and we’re looking forward to meeting all of the teams.”

It is hoped at least £10,000 will be raised for the HEY Smile Foundation from this year’s event.

Paul Atkinson, Relationship Manager at Santander, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting Swing When You’re Winning again.

“There is great team spirit and the teams have some very healthy competition to try and make it to the final.

“Euro Continental Forwarding Ltd (ECF) in west Hull were crowned the overall winners last year, so we’re looking forward to seeing who takes the top spot in 2016.

“At Santander, we like to give back to the community and this is our way of supporting a great charity, which always goes the extra mile to help others.”

The HEY Smile Foundation is a collaborative charity which works hard to support smaller charities and community projects.
