At HEY Smile Foundation, we believe we have a key role in helping the region tackle the challenges relating to the Covid-19 pandemic. We continue to work closely with our partners across the East Riding in the private public and voluntary sectors to provide timely and consistent messaging to the wide range of wonderful voluntary, community and social enterprises connecting and responding to our communities growing needs. 

Through a joint initiative between East Riding of Yorkshire Council we have:

  • established community support Hubs which cover the whole of the East Riding and work alongside those existing charities, voluntary organisations and community groups as well as those groups set up on social media platforms to provide co-ordinated help and support.
  • launched CallER Collective, a phone service designed to offer a friendly voice to those who are currently isolated and in need of support. Routing you through to a trained, volunteer lead for your locality, this befriending service is designed to help people feel less alone.

We are living through extraordinary, fast-paced times that require us to think and act with both our heads and our hearts. We are, as always, eternally gratefully to the wide range of regional organisations that have stepped up to come together and create a strong co-ordinated response.
