GRANTS OF UP TO £2017 AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL VOLUNTARY GROUPS IN HULL & EAST YORKSHIRE

The Humber Bridge Half Marathon committee is giving out multiple grants of up to £2017 to local groups tackling loneliness and isolation.

The grant-making committee consists of members from the Rotary Club of Hull (main event organisers), the HEY Smile Foundation (event partner) and Hudgell Solicitors (main sponsors).

Applicants are invited to request an application form if they have a project that supports loneliness and social isolation. This can be amongst all age groups of populations.

The first Humber Bridge Half Marathon was held in 1999 and has grown to become the biggest Rotary fundraising event in Hull and East Yorkshire.

Over 24,000 runners have completed the race, helping to raise an estimate figure of over £500,000 for good causes and the committee look forward to increasing this total in 2017.
